The World Cup 2022 was organised from mid-November to mid-December 2022. A territory-wide anti-gambling publicity campaign "Be the Wise Man of the Match!" , organised by The Ping Wo Fund and Home and Youth Affairs Bureau, was held during the World Cup period to raise the public awareness of gambling-related problems.
The campaign publicised the harm of addiction to gambling and shared the fun and joy of playing football with members of the public. It consisted of a range of district-level and territory-wide events and publicity activities, including roving exhibitions, "Say no to football gambling" carnival, football fun day, the Ping Wo Fund mascot design competition, outreaching activities of the publicity truck, etc.
